I'm not the best at sticking to things. I've never been good at New Year's Resolutions. And if I ever find myself overweight...I will probably never stick to a diet.
I have the BEST intentions. However, those Intentions are usually beaten to a bloody pulp by Laziness. Despite it's name, Laziness is actually quite active in my life. For example, instead of writing this blog I could be uploading pictures and writing cute quirky captions and actually be doing what this little blog was set up to do...but I choose to not look for my camera cord. Even if I could find it, I do not have many pictures to post. I have not taken a picture every day, not even every other day. My life is boring. I can't capture Brand's silly voices or my awesome jokes. I can't capture the feeling he gives me when he looks at me. I can't capture how light my heart feels as I come home to my sweet dog and my hilarious cat. I'm not an artist and although some people may be able to capture feelings in pictures, I just can't seem to do it. It's hard to take a picture of something that can't be seen. I really credit photographers (shout out to Rheanne!).
I think a lot of people think they can be photographers (evidenced by many "My Photography" albums on facebook that look well...not so great.) but not everyone can really capture these feelings. So a big shout out to you Rheanne and your sister and all the wonderful photographers out there..I'm so impressed by your creativity, insight, and of course your eye. Even though I never try to make the pictures look artistic, I'm impressed that photographers can find such beauty in everything when all I can see are these white walls....
Awww. Does this mean the end of your bloggy blog? I really do enjoy reading it and looking at the pics. I can understand how it would get to be a daunting project though. I loved all your photos and feeling a bit closer to you and hearing about your days :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments as well. I know what you mean about everyone thinking they are a photographer. I think it's great when people get excited about it but there are a few people who think that just because they have a digital camera and can take photos that aren't blurry, they are a professional and can charge people for photos. It undermines the people who actually want to make a career out of it. I just get mad when people don't respect photography and the fact that it's a lot of hard work! That's why I don't call myself a professional quite yet and don't know if I will. I don't consider you to be a part of that category though.
You've shown some real creativity in the subjects of your photos...stuff that I would never think of. You're a hilarious writer as well. You have quite the creative spirit Allison Tzeitel :) I love my sissy in law :)
i too have enjoyed your random pics! i've liked that the fotos you have posted are just that, a very random shot throughout your day that tells a story. it's very interesting. but i think it would be a challenge to do this every day...maybe a good challenge though. and i agree that there are far too many peeps out there that think they are photographers. i love taking pics, but there are some talented peeps out there like rheanne who have a natural talent that i don't wanna compete with!
